Progress Update 2

Here's A brief post about the progress I've made since my last rig post.

To start with, Here is A logo I made up whilst taking a break form maya - to tick the branding box on the brief. It was not the first draft, and may not be the final, but I feel it's quite professional looking, whilst being fun and 'fruity'.

This image is a render when light has been created for the scene. After quite a bit of trial and error, the scene was lit with a white lambert to test areas that would be over or underexposed. I'm quite happy with how it's turned out and am currently (along with tweaking more animations) still toying with getting the etching shader to fit right with the scene.
As you can see, the light comes from a hole in the 'Ceiling' whilst also coming from various small cracks in the caves structure.

After deciding to retire temporarily from the texturing yet again, I began making my soul character come to life! which can only mean 2 things: I got my rig to work *pats back* and i'm animating the little guy!

This first video playblast is my character laying on a spike (spike is missing for good reason). It would probably be best to note, I've animated the character fairly basically in this project, as intricate movements will definitely not be seen, and it's all about using time effectively. For that reason I have even snapped the playblasts from a distance, as so you can see to some degree what they will look like. Please excuse the quality.

In this one we can see one 'Inmate' strangling another.

These two videos show the hanging hell house mates - one by the throat, one by the hands.

Here someone is begging for their life

this is someone being beaten by another

And this is someone banging their skull on the wall (insert wall)

These are not all of the characters, but uploading became an issue.

Anyway, This is only meant to be a brief post - so any questions or comments? please leave them :)
