breakdown of a slime mold (asexual reproduction)

1. spores are released by a mold colony (a fruiting body)

2. a single celled organism (amoeba) emerges from a released spore

3. this cell, with the ability of motion, is able to feed

4. whilst feeding, this cell inevitably finds others like it and they are able to conjoin and move in a group known as aggregated amoebas.

5. these aggregated amoebas, when moving and feeding are known as a migrating colony.

6. after food sources become scarce or run out entirely, the migrating colony stays where it is and begins the process of releasing spores.

now I'm sure that every tiny detail isn't covered here, but as far as I'm aware, this is the basic outline of asexual slime mold reproduction.
if it isn't, and I'm way off, could someone please tell me before i make a fool out of myself.
if it is, then onward i go.
