

These above, are a few standard Google images of some home telescopes, modern and not so modern. although they all differ in more ways than one, the common thing between them all is the cone shape scope, and the tripod on which they stand.
Surely the lens bares a 'face' like quality, or at least a cyclops/wall-e/short circuit style ocular piece.
The scope itself, with is unique expandable and retractable qualities, could act as a spine-like foundation, which most of the 'upper body' movement could come from.
and last but surely not least, is the common tripod 'legs' which they all have. This surely doesn't need much of an explanation, but these could be and will be used for legs.


these again are some stock, Google cartoons of telescopes. The common thing between all the ones I saw, were that the best ones, like the 2 above, weren't shrouded in detail, they were just basic shapes but were effective. I'll touch more upon this in my 'character design'
