Story idea

So its the end of the first week and I've come up with, what seems to me to be, a fairly solid storyline (or skit even) for my Nimble telescope.
NOTE: there are a lot of actions mentioned that the telescope does, and these will all become clearer as the preliminary sketches begin.

1. The telescope is seen on its tripod 'legs', almost in a tip toe stance, stumbling about and stretching to look up at something

2. The telescope looks disappointed and begins to look at the floor

3. whilst looking at the floor, a small flick of rock hits the floor next to it

4. the telescope goes over to look at it

5. whilst looking at it, another piece of the rock, seemingly falling from the sky, lands on the telescope, causing it to jump

6. the telescope, after landing, looks up at the sky, its lens pops out in astonishment, as a shower of small hot rocks begin to fall

7. an almost Benny hill style of shot begins as the telescope begins to dodge the rocks, ducking and diving, pulling of flips, extending its scope and retracting it, all to dodge the rocks.

8. after a while, they stop and the telescope sighs relief

9. a whistling noise is heard and the telescope slowly looks up...then straight at the 4th wall before being crushed by a massive asteroid.

as for the setting of this, I'm not too sure yet, I'm undecided on whether to have a blank ''old school' animation background, or again, hopefully not bite off more than i can chew, and have a simple grassy background.

  1. I like it... now go and draw it out thumbnail-style - quick and instinctive and all in one go - then come back to refine into proper boards; in terms of setting - on top of a hill, maybe at night - with the landscape, telescope and falling stars in white, and the sky in rich, velvety black...
